Think of something that you’re good at. Think of something that you put hours into. It could be writing songs, singing, playing a sport, editing films, lifting weights, writing books, whatever it is – it is something that you truly work hard for.
You got it? You thought about it? You have an idea of what that is? Good – next question: Why do you do it? Is it because you’re wanting to become famous? Is it because people validate you with likes, comments and shares? Or is it because it brings you joy and happiness? Is it because it brings in the income and puts food on the table? Why do you put so much work and effort into it?
I really hope that by this part, I have you thinking the ‘why behind the what’ – it is very important to know for your own self – why do you do something. It is crucial for me to know the WHY behind this blog. Am I doing it so someone out there agrees with me? Am I doing it so someone out there shares it and it becomes viral? And what if no one reads it? What if the only clicks I get on this post are my own… Will I continue to post after this? Will I continue to post next week and the week after that?
Ask yourself these next few questions. What if no one listens to your songs? What if no one notices and embraces the change your body has gone through ever since you started going to the gym? What if no one ever notices your blogs or things you write? What if no one watches the short films you worked tirelessly on?
WILL YOU STILL DO IT?
