nailed it!

It’s a phrase we use from time to time either for ourselves or for other people. “Nailed it” is a term used to express success after achieving something seemingly difficult.

Have a quick second to think when you’ve used this term before…

… Maybe when you were watching a basketball game and the score was super close and Steph Curry made that last bucket. Maybe when you went for that interview and got the job. Maybe when you got down on one knee to propose. Maybe it was that business proposal that you wrote that reached the CEO/CFO

Whatever it was, you probably used or can use the term, “nailed it”

BUT WHAT BRINGS YOU TO USE THAT PHRASE??

Ever noticed that the term can be used as an idiom as well as the literal meaning? But have you ever considered the FULL force of the hammer that is used for that nail to go in? Have you ever considered that the meaning behind the term carries weight when the force from the OPPOSITION is equal to and/or stronger? Have you ever considered that for the hammer to land on the nail, you may need to take many shots?

Simply put, if you want to “nail it in” go for what is said to be impossible. Go for something out of the ordinary. When you fail, try it again. When you get it, don’t stop there. Continue to get better… DO SOMETHING THAT IS RARELY EVER DONE.

AND JUST MAYBE, YOU WON’T SAY ‘I NAILED IT’, BUT YOU’LL INSPIRE SOMEONE ELSE TO SAY, “WOW, THEY NAILED IT”

Embrace the pressure the journey has… I know what you’re thinking, “he nailed it!
